Member Carrie Denson says delivering the goodies is one of her favorite activities all year.

“Baking cookies for the policemen lets them know how much the LHWL really appreciates their dedication to serving our LH community and for all the sacrifices they make to keep us safe.”

Members fanned out in groups to deliver home baked treats to four fire stations in LH and to the DPD’s Northeast Substation.

“The policemen and fire fighters were surprised each time we showed up,” says Denson. “I was asked numerous times why we were bringing food for them, and they couldn’t thank us enough for our thoughtfulness. Several jokingly asked why we were trying to make them fat.”
