Lake Highlands parents are warning neighborhood residents about a dastardly driver harassing young girls near Lake Highlands Junior High. Police tell NBC 5 they are unsure if the same person is behind two separate reports of a man possibly behaving inappropriately and attempting to lure the girls as they walked home from school.

A pedestrian was struck and killed as he crossed Skillman near Royal Monday, reports the Dallas Morning News. Less than two weeks ago, a pedestrian was hit and killed just a short distance from there at Skillman near Walnut Hill.

Another pedestrian was killed while crossing TI Blvd last Friday, and a Dallas Police officer was injured by a drunk driver yesterday, reports NBC5 — 28-year-old Jose Rey Chavez-Nino allegedly smashed his Suburban into the rear of a patrol car stopped at a traffic light on East Northwest Highway near White Rock Lake. The officer was treated for minor injuries at Presbyterian Hospital.
