“I don’t like the current candidates in the District 10 race (I’m not even sure they both live in our district), so now it is my time to step up and have our voice heard,” White posted on Facebook. “A Better Lake Highlands for Dallas is a Better Dallas for Lake Highlands. Let’s do this.”

Both of the current candidates — Paul Reyes and Adam McGough — indeed live in the district. I think White’s quip about living in the district refers to McGough’s recent residency problems and subsequent investigation related to his children’s attendance at a Highland Park school, but McGough’s Lake Highlands residency has not been in question, as far as I know.

White’s social media banners tout him as the “only candidate in District 10 who is against the destructive and wasteful trinity toll road.”

He highlights several other issues that are important to our neighborhood — schools, White Rock Lake, the Skillman/LBJ bridge and realignment, the I-635 East project, area improvement, and other things that very much impact our area. Stay tuned for more, as we learn more.
