A 25-year-old Bryan Adams High School grad, Juan Trevino, was shot and killed near his family home on Dorchester, off East Northwest Highway.
Police reportedly believe the shooting was motivated by robbery. They believe the suspects followed Trevino home from a Lake Highlands area ATM machine in the wee hours of Wednesday. The killers possibly assumed he was withdrawing cash, but he was not — Trevino’s mom told the Morning News her son was making an eleventh-hour deposit to ensure that he had the necessary funds in his account to support a recent transaction.
A neighbor discovered the crime scene. Trevino was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital where he died.
Witnesses report three suspects leaving the scene of the murder.
Police ask anyone with information to call Detective Brian Tabor at 214.671.3632.
