Note on Goodyear door, Oct. 30
Locally owned by Mary Wolston and operated by her son, Stephen, the Wolston Goodyear on Shoreview in Lake Highlands has been the repair shop I’ve patronized since I started driving. (For anyone keeping score, that was more than 20 years ago.) So I was caught off guard dismayed to see the building vacated earlier this week.
Today a sign on the front door indicated that the shop will reopen November 17 (yey) but under new ownership (aww man) but with “Manny and the crew” present (ok, that sounds alright). I’m obviously on an emotional roller coaster with this development, but I plan to get in touch with the Wolston’s and/or the new owners and report more in next month’s business buzz column (always located near the back of the print magazine).
