Wildcat football

The varsity football game against Highland Park is away this Friday, but if you want to show your red and white at Scots’ Highlander Stadium, the Wildcat Club will open the Clawset to sell LH gear tonight, Thursday, beginning at 5 p.m. during the J.V. game. Plenty of cool weather items and Wildcat apparel will be available, along with cushy stadium seats and – you guessed it – cow bells. Supporters of the Cats are particularly encouraged to wear white to “White Out HP,” with Scots planning a Blue Out in support of their 100th anniversary.

Football mom Lori Toungate also notes that parking is scarce around HP’s field, so she suggests parking in the garage at the southeast corner of the stadium, at businesses along Preston Road, or curbside in neighborhoods where “no parking” signs aren’t present. Game tickets may be purchased at LHHS Friday morning from 8:30 to 1:30 p.m. or at the stadium at game time.

The Clawset is located underneath the stands on the pressbox side of Wildcat Stadium. HP’s Highlander Stadium is located at 4233 Grassmere, just off Lovers Lane near Preston Road. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the game kicks off at 7:30.

Go Cats!
