Students at Moss Haven Elementary are making plans to dress up, too, and the grand finale will be their Halloween tradition – the costume parade. On October 31st, kids and their teachers will wear their costumes to school, and every class will walk the labyrinthine hallways showing off their creations. Their parents will line the halls, cheering and taking photos.

Alas, for some, Halloween costumes are a financial burden.

If you’d like to contribute costumes or costume pieces, or if you’d like to write a check to help add to the MHE costume collection, contact Outreach Chairmen Blythe Layne (blythe.layne@kraftfoods.com) or Renee Barfoot (renee.barfoot@gmail.com). Moss Haven is located at 9202 Moss Farm Lane.

MHE moms will assist students in selecting items from the MHE “Halloween Shop.” After the parade, costumes will be sent home with the kids for trick-or-treating. Perhaps you’ll see a child you’ve helped at your own front door.
