Food buzz: Neighbor’s Casual Kitchen progress, pumpkin treats at White Rock Coffee

Renovations continue at Neighbor’s Casual Kitchen, formerly known as Highlands Cafe. The restaurant announced via its Facebook page that it will be “just a few more weeks” until the grand opening. Take a peek at progress on the new interior above. (Calls made to the restaurant were not returned, so we’ll keep you posted when we get more information.)

Even in the absence of cooler temperatures, White Rock Coffee is getting into the fall spirit. As of today, Sept. 1, pumpkin bread, pumpkin lattes, and pumpkin chais are back on the menu.

Have you ever wondered what was inside the establishment that appears to be named Cocktails Dancing on Skillman and Abrams? Dallas Observer reviews the dive bar here. (Spoiler alert: It isn’t actually named Cocktails Dancing.)
