The former lord mayor of Westminster, England Catherine Longworth made a trip to Lake Highlands this week to formally invite the Lake Highlands High School Wildcat Wranglers to London’s 2015 New Year’s Day parade. And when your title includes the word “lord,” can you really do anything informally? Doubtful.

This ain’t the Wranglers’ first rodeo (meaning, it won’t be the Wranglers’ first time at the London New Year’s Day parade or some other big to-do), but it is the first time such a production has been made of the invite.

Following “The Worshipful Ms. Catherine Longworth” (the appropriate honorific, according to a media release) was a production crew from the British Broadcasting Corporation which filmed the presentation. The BBC reportedly will play parts of the footage during the New Year’s worldwide broadcast.
