A new freestanding emergency room clinic opened Friday at the northeast corner of Walnut Hill and Central.
Preston Hollow Emergency is described as offering an “upscale level of service” with no wait, calling to mind something a little different than the typical crowded doc-in-a-box.
The 24-hour clinic does X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds and blood work in-house with doctors and nurses who are trained in emergency room and trauma situations. They promise to have test results back in 10-15 minutes after evaluating a patient, faster than most any other emergency room. There also is a pharmacy on site dispensing antibiotics, blood thinners, pain meds and other common treatments.
The same company operates Highland Park Emergency on Lemmon.
