New LHHS principal Frank Miller

Superintendent of Richardson ISD schools Kay Waggoner announced that Frank Miller, the former Sachse High School assistant principal, will serve as the new Lake Highlands High School principal.

“He is an exceptional fit with the profile developed by Lake Highlands staff and community members, and I’m confident he will be a collaborative and highly effective leader,” Waggoner notes via email. “I ask the Lake Highlands and RISD communities to please join me in welcoming Frank Miller to his new position.”

Miller was the principal at Garland’s Sachse High School since 2006.

“He has been in education for 14 years, beginning as a classroom teacher. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master’s degree in Education from Texas A & M University-Commerce. He is currently completing a doctoral program in Education from Texas A&M-Commerce. He will assume his new duties immediately,” according to a release from the district.

Former LHHS principal Peggy Dillon was promoted last semester to a job at the administration offices.
