Dallas’ newest Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is coming soon to the Timber Creek Crossing shopping center, Skillman and Northwest Highway.
Dallas-based Dickey’s first opened on Central Expressway at Knox-Henderson in the early 1940s.
Today there are almost 400 of them — the franchise recently expanded in California, Seattle and Colorado.
So if traveling all the way to Forest Lane and Central Expressway, Casa Linda or Knox-Henderson to get a Dickey’s fix was too much, now we’ll have one practically right here in the neighborhood. So what if you have to fight a little Wal Mart, Sam’s Club and JC Penny traffic to get there.
Oh, and if you are looking for a food-industry gig or know someone who is, the forthcoming Dickey’s is hiring.
