Urban-GardenT. Hee Greetings & Gifts in Hillside Village at Mockingbird and Abrams is adding a new section to its store, just in time for spring.

Owner Tony Doles, a Lake Highlands resident who opened the store three years ago, has seen the store through various phases and changes, says spokesperson David Farris.

Recently, Doles added an urban garden section, located in the back end of the store. T. Hee will sell things like organic fertilizers, organic soil additives, organic pest control, pots and potting supplies, and garden-themed gifts.

Best of all, coming this spring, he will have baby chicks available, plus “everything you need for your urban coop, including chick feed, coops” and more.

He explains why in a blog post on the website: “Since we first opened our doors we wanted to bring to the neighborhoods that to which they did not have quick access.  Through the years we have added items as the neighborhood has shown a need… with more and more of our customers choosing to grow their own food and teach their families about plants and gardening, we wanted to be sure to be part of that family experience.”
