The Skillman-Abrams Big Lots store is closed.
The fact that the Lake Highlands Big Lots was not on the chain’s makeover list was our first clue that this was imminent. What is left in the shopping strip includes a gaudy check cashing store, a free-standing ice vendor, a tailor and Harbor Tool and Freight. The 7-11 closed a few months ago. Across the street, Tom Thumb and Siegel’s vacated last summer. Stay tuned for more updates on Skillman-Abrams retail soon.
