Crisp’s salads run $9-$12

We’ve written in our East Dallas Advocate publication about the new salad-centric Lower Greenville Ave. restaurant, Crisp. We never wrote about it in Lake Highlands since it isn’t in Lake Highlands (or right on the border, like Snappy Salad, Grub or BonChon). We just recently learned, however, that Crisp’s co-owner/founder John Zimmerman is a Lake Highlands native. So allow us to fill you in.

His mom Steph filled us in via email about John’s involvement in Crisp, and she notes that he loves receiving feedback from those who have dined there. Here’s how to reach him:jzimmermann@crispsaladco.com if you have something to say.

Below is the video the Advocate’s Brittany Nunn shot at Crisp. It features John’s partner and a manager at the restaurant, Blaine Duhe.

Notes Duhe, “Crisp Salad Co. is a great concept that combines the build-your-own-salad experience with a tastefully designed menu,” says owner and manager Blaine Duhe. “Our epicurean offerings go far beyond the typical salad, including unique dressings made daily by our crew inside the restaurant.”

“Crisp devotes itself to helping guests attain a healthy lifestyle by providing naturally raised meats and fresh produce. All salads are chopped and served in front of guests. Aside from build-your-own salads, Crisp also serves salads off the menu, like The Greenville Cobb, Killer Kale, Street Taco, Curry Waldorf, Superfood and Thai It Up.”

Crisp Salad Co. will accept to-go orders and offer an extensive catering menu as well. It’s open Sunday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for lunch and dinner. For more information, visit the website.

One of the reasons us Lake Highlanders tend to avoid Lower Greenville is the difficult parking situation. But Crisp’s isn’t bad.

Park right behind the restaurant on Prospect or you can park at Trader Joe’s across the street.
