T.J. Grieder defeats an opponent from Keller

The Lake Highlands High School varsity wrestling team won the Richardson Roundup tournament this weekend, defeating 11 other teams and sending 9 individuals to the finals.

Senior T.J. Grieder was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament, winning his division at 152 lbs. Juniors Connor Bosch (126 lbs.) and Kendrell Willis (220) were individual champions at their weight levels.

Placing 2nd were seniors Felix Santino, Rainey Washington and Jordan Lockhart, juniors Seth Villasana and Reid Curnutt, and sophomore Socrates Salinas. Taking medals for 3rd were Jack Smitham and Twquan Clayton.

Nine individual championships were earned by JV wrestlers: Martin Taylor, Mark Alozie, Even Hayter, Sam Ketchmark, Tyler Hughes, Zach Dobbins, Domonique Neroes, Kevin Tran and Daniel Kidd.
