The holidays are here and nowhere is it more evident than at NorthPark Center, where the famous Trains at NorthPark— the most elaborate toy train exhibit in all of Texas, organizers say — are rolling into a 26th year. The exhibit benefits Ronald McDonald House of Dallas which, “since 1981, has provided a place to sleep, three meals a day, transportation to and from local hospitals, and a warm supportive environment for thousands of sick children and their families,” RMHD representatives say.

Lake Highlands Area Early Childhood PTA Shopping Soiree is at Knights of Columbus Hall, 10110 Shoreview,  Thursday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Enjoy a new take on the most popular Christmas poem ever, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas beginning Nov 22 at Dallas Children’s Theater. The music is focused on the poet, Clement Moore: He has four days to write a feature for the New York Evening Post, but he has writer’s block. Dallas Children’s Theater, Baker Theater, is located at 5938 Skillman and tickets run $17-$28.
