Update: Tickets will go on sale at LHHS Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m., and they’re likely to sell out before game time. Scott Smith, head coach for the Wildcats, encourages LH fans to “come early and be loud.” No reserved seats will be sold and Allen fans are expected to tailgate, setting up early to claim their parking spot and seats. Wildcat-Ram Stadium and surrounding parking areas are expected to be crowded.

The game has been designated a “black out” game, so LH fans are requested to wear all black.

Advance tickets will be sold Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30 to 1:30, and Thursday from 1:45 to 4 p.m. Adults pay $7 and students pay $4. If tickets are left at game time, all seats will be $10 at the gate.

Lake Highlands will face Allen in the bi-district football playoffs Friday night at Wildcat-Ram Stadium. LH won a coin flip to earn the right to host – a big deal, since Allen would likely fill its enormous new stadium with loud and rowdy Eagle fans. As it is, it will be a challenge just finding a place on the visitor’s side of The Boneyard for the 850 members of their band and drill team.

The Cats finished third in 9-5A, making us the runner-up in Division I (big schools), so we meet 10-5A winner Allen, which ended the season 10-0. Skyline, winner of our district, will play Plano High. You can view then entire playoff bracket here.

If you’re hoping to attend the game, stay alert. We’ll share ticket details here on the blog when we get them and pre-sales at the school are likely, but if Allen’s allotment sells out, expect to see their boosters drive south to buy tickets in the Wildcat section.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. Go Cats!
