Hostile Pipes, the bright, flashing, always-open smoke shop visible from LBJ (between Kratom Crazy and Jupiter exits),  allegedly was violating the federal synthetic drugs ban by selling Knockout, a blend of cannabis-esque materials. The store owner Wayne Joseph Sweeny was arrested last week for selling and making “millions of dollars” on the product, according to federal court records and a Dallas Morning News report.

A clerk reportedly told agents that more than 90 percent of the store’s sales were for synthetic cannabis —the rest for smoking accessories such as pipes and bongs, along with electronic and traditional cigarettes, authorities said.

The clerk during the raid reportedly told the feds that annual sales of Knockout likely exceeded $1.5 million.
