Jason Dann #48 celebrates, the kick is good!
Former Wildcat Jason Dann has been selected as one of three “Stars of the Week” by the folks who choose nominees for the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award, and – if he keeps up the current pace – he may be in the running for their award by year’s end.

Jason’s hit 8 of 8 field goals and 9 of 9 extra points since taking over place-kicking duties in week five of the season. That grabbed the attention of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, which chooses three “Stars” each week from the nation’s finest. Though they’ll make their own decisions about the Lou Groza Award by early November, they do invite us to vote in an online poll here about our “favorite” of the three Stars of the Week, and to leave a congratulatory comment for Jason. Who knows, an overwhelming response for Dann-the-Man could make a difference in the committee’s big award selection.
