Update 2:16 p.m.: Officers appear to be in waiting mode. We still think a man is barricaded inside a home in the 9400 Block of Moss Farm. A neighbor/police scanners tell us there was a domestic struggle inside the home involving a gun. An unidentified female complaintant fled the scene and is safe at this time, police confirm. Schools are off lockdown. Several homeowners are being kept from entering the neighborhood. One home near the corner is being used as temporary police headquarters.
Dallas police, SWAT and Fire-Rescue are outside a Lake Highlands home where a man has barricaded himself inside a home on Moss Farm near Abrams.
A police officer on the scene says an “incident” was phoned in after which a suspect barricaded himself inside a home in the 9400 block of Moss Farm Lane.
Forest Meadow, Merriman Park, Skyview and Moss Haven are on “soft lockdown”, Richardson ISD reports in a statement.
Police have the neighborhood blocked off at Moss Haven and at various neighborhood exit points.
