Thursday from 7 a.m.-midnight when you donate through Communities Foundation of Texas to any eligible nonprofit — and practically every one we know about is on the list — your impact is tangibly increased because DonorBridge matches donations of $25 and up.
A few of the participating Lake Highlands-connected participants include: Healing Hands Ministries, Dallas CASA, LifeNet, St. Patrick’s Catholic School and, well, there are about a thousand more. If you have a charity you would like to plug, freely use the comments section.
Also Thursday, the Communities Foundation celebrates North Texas Giving Day and its 60th Birthday onsite at Caruth Haven and South Central Expressway. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 8-10:30 p.m.,find food trucks, interactive entertainment — we’re talking live animals including penguins and ponies — dancers and a spoken word performance of “Romeo and Juliet” by Shakespeare Dallas, to name a few.
