Snappy Salads, the place with “salads so good even guys like [them],” is coming this fall to Upper Greenville Ave. south of Park Ln., replacing the former Gatti’s Pizza.
Sure, it’s not exactly Lake Highlands, but it’s real close.
This will be the fifth Snappy Salads location. There’s another nearby, but you have to brave the NorthPark Center food court in order to go there.
When owner, local guy Chris Dahlander, opened the Richardson location, NPR ran a piece about the restaurant’s growth and commitment to sustainability.
It makes you feel good about the place — the recycling, water and energy conservation and staff education — but, also, it really doesn’t hurt that they offer some delicious fresh greens and creative combinations in convenient and aesthetic-casual settings.
Dahlander tells us he expects the Greenville Ave. location to open in early September, pending code inspections and so forth.
