LH tees with backsThe senior class at Lake Highlands High School has created a new line of t-shirts, and they’re making them available to the entire community. The creative tees, shown in photos here, are a take on the iconic Google map search. Punch in “Home of Champions” and what shows up? Lake Highlands, Texas! The back of the tee highlights Lake Highlands, Texas on a state map. Colorful Lake Highlands tanks are also available.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for senior class activities, including graduation, the class’ lasting gift to the school and their all-night party. The post-graduation party is a long-standing school tradition, designed to ensure an all-inclusive, alcohol-free event where students celebrate in a safe and fun environment.

The t-shirts are $15 and available in either red or white, sizes youth large to adult XL. They can be purchased at FMJH, LHJH, LHFC and LHHS schedule pickups and the Community Pep Rally on August 30. To arrange a purchase, folks can also contact senior mom Diana Milan at 214-695-0416.

senior officers 2014Spearheading senior class activities this year are class officers Griffin Milan, president, Kaylee Kaigler, VP, Katie Samuelsen, treasurer, Kelsey Kaigler (Kaylee’s twin), historian, and Evan Williamson, secretary (shown in the photo).

For the first year in many, the class won’t be mentored by Senior Principal Michelle King. King has moved to Richardson High to work with Charles Bruner, new principal for the Eagles. (Some of you older Wildcats may even recall the days when King was 9th grade cheer sponsor at Forest Meadow, but that was long before Bruner’s days at FMJH, and before LHFC opened.) This year, Cecilia Galvan is leading the Class of 2014, and she has exciting things in store, no doubt.

Best of luck, seniors!
