In fact, neighborhood shoppers will be able to buy ski, snowboard and associated gear at St. Bernard as soon as tomorrow.

While this area might seem saturated with sporting goods — Dick’s (Shops at Park Lane), Sports Authority (Park and Central), Sun and Ski (Royal and Central) and Academy (Forest and Central), all within a two-mile radius, the new St. Bernard Sports, whose temporary space opens this weekend, is an outlet—meaning discount. They also carry some fashionable apparel that you decidedly will not find at Sports Authority.

“Dallas-based St. Bernard Sports has been a local mainstay since 1978,” reps say. “They are one of the Southwest’s premier ski and snowboard apparel shops and also carry fashion apparel from leading men’s and women’s designers.”

Which Wich is expected to open in November in a 1,600 square -foot space next to Gordon Biersch, facing Central.

The Shops are now at about 90 percent capacity, according to developers Northwood Investors.
