Carwash in Lake Highlands raised $500 for Children’s and Junior PGA
A few Lake Highlands students are golfing to raise funds for Children’s Medical Center and the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation.
Luke Kirkpatrick, Hill Hardin, and Hayden Harris, all Forest Meadow Junior High students, and Nico Cornejo, a student at St. Patrick’s have registered as a foursome to play in the Kids Play Fore Kids golf tournament.
Each tournament participant raises a minimum of $100, “and these four boys took care of that in one fell swoop with a carwash in the Moss Haven Elementary school parking lot” last Saturday, where they earned $500, according to a memo from Lake Highlands’ Kelly Hurst.
The tournament is this weekend at Firewheel Golf Course. Wear sunscreen, kids.
