We like to brag about famous Lake Highlands High School grads, in case you hadn’t noticed. The case of George Milner, defense attorney for ex-Cowboy Josh Brent, who was arrested for manslaughter last fall, is a little more serious than usual.
A Lake Highlands High School alum about whom you might be hearing more and more: the class of 1984’s George Milner, the attorney representing former Dallas Cowboy Josh Brent. Brent is slated to go to trial in September on an intoxication manslaughter charge — he’s accused of killing teammate Jerry Brown Jr. in a drunk driving accident last December.
Brent, reportedly has failed two drug tests since his original arrest and retired from the NFL weeks ago, just before training camp began.
