Police evacuated the UA Galaxy movie theater on McCree at about 8:45 p.m. Friday, after, they say a male caller phoned in a bomb threat.

Police were unable to identify a suspect. They believe the call came from a Metro PCS phone with no account information. Authorities swept the theater, checked all restrooms, the concession area and the perimeter of the building for suspicious packages but found nothing.

Arrest made in Richland College-area shooting

Police have arrested Jaquincy Bush, 20, and Ryan Norris, 22, and are looking for a third suspect, Demuntra Rashard Green, 18, in connection with the shooting death of Vasile Cartojan, a 45-year-old man who was gunned down in his alley on Emberglow Lane, near Richland College, on May 19.

On the night of the murder, Cartojan reportedly was on his front porch chatting with a friend at about 10:40 p.m. when he heard his BMW pulling out of the driveway behind his townhome. Cartojan ran to stop the suspected car thieves. His friend reportedly said he heard a gunshot and found Cartojan’s body in the alley.

Police made the arrests a few days ago, after several witnesses testified that the three suspects were seen in the BMW and reportedly were overheard bragging about the theft and the shooting.
