Tom Thumb at Skillman-Abrams will soon shut down shop. Now the Sigel’s Liquor in the same center is closing.
We don’t yet know what will take the place of Tom Thumb — though we are pretty sure it won’t be a Kroger.
As for the Sigel’s, spokesperson Jasper Russo says this store is closing in direct relation to the closing of Tom Thumb. They will not renew their lease, which is up at the end of this month.
The area has become sketchy since the Simon David days.
No, he doesn’t exactly say that. “The entire area seems to be in a transitional state,” he says. But we know what you mean, Russo. We follow the news. We know about the police shootouts, et. al.
On the bright side, the inventory is 20% off.
Reps from Brixmor Properties, owners of the development have not gotten back with us, but I will update when/if they do.
