Great balls of cake! Starting June 8, The Cake Ball Company is offering baking classes to teach kids how to make the Lake Highlands-born cake ballĀ (i.e. a moist bite of cake mixed with frosting and coated in frosting as pictured.)
The baking classes are on Saturdays this summer from noon to 1:30 p.m. Cost is $35 and students will get to take home 8 decadent cake balls to share with their family (or devour themselves.)
All classes are for kids ages 7-13, except for one adults-only class using recipes from the “A Little Bit Tipsy” chapter in the “Amazingly Delicious Bite-sized Treats” cookbook that Cake Ball Company owners Robin Ankeny and Charlotte Lyon published last summer. The store will also have autographed copies of the book available for purchase.
