Kudos to the White Rock Elementary choir for on an “outstanding” representation of Lake Highlands.
Every year choirs from all around compete at the FunFest Ultimate School Music Festival. This year’s event broke participation and attendance records, organizers boast. A panel of acclaimed choral directors rate the groups — the highest mark is 1. The White Rock Elementary Honor Choir earned a 1 and was named Most Outstanding Elementary Choir of the Day. The students and directors Kathy Petree and Jamie Arnold, music specialists at White Rock Elementary, brought home two enormous trophies, notes Estrella Lamson, who sent us this photo.
