I failed to get this in the calendar of our print edition and master naturalist Jim Folger wasn’t happy about it. He pointed out that this is an event our neighborhood needs to know about. He’s so right. We are lucky to live near White Rock Lake and the related flora and fauna, so come out and show your love.
Love our Native Plants and Prairies Day is Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Bath House Cultural Center at White Rock Lake.
Hosted by the North Texas Master Naturalists, the event includes activities for kids (such as making seed balls and cornhusk dolls) around the picnic tables on the north side of the Bath House. Also, Twice Upon a Time storytellers will be there along with Captain Chrysalis, superhero entomologist. And it’s free.
