The LHHS Wind Ensemble and Symphonic bands traveled to Corpus Christi for the South Coast Music Festival, where they received first-division scores and were named Best in Class. Both won their competition against bands from all over Texas and were praised by college adjudicators, who told their director “there wasn’t anyone even close to your two bands.”

Next, they headed to UIL, again earning 1’s from all six judges. They also received the Sweepstakes Award.

In addition to the LHHS band’s success, this is the first year both junior high bands received top scores since Wildcat Band Director Jeff Bradford came to Lake Highlands seven years ago.

Congratulations, Wildcats and Chargers!
