thank you partyMerchants in Lake Highlands Plaza are hosting a Thank You Party for local law enforcement after the DPD made quick work of catching the LH rapist. Tomorrow, Thursday April 11, from noon to 4 p.m., there’ll be lunch and dessert food trucks in the parking lot near T.Hee Greetings & Gifts and Nathan Grace Real Estate at Audelia and Walnut Hill. The community celebration is an effort to demonstrate the overwhelming sense of appreciation LH feels for our men (and women) in blue.

While you’re there, 15% of your food truck purchase will be given to an organization benefiting the officers – or if you opt for lunch at nearby Highlands Café, 10% of their sales will also be donated. In addition, 15% of your purchases at T.Hee will go to the officers’ fund.

Event planners say the day isn’t just about money, it’s about citizen-to-officer contact and letting our local heroes know they are appreciated.
