Spend a spring day, next Thursday, April 11, at Top Golf and feel completely justified. You are, after all, only doing your part to prevent violence and crime in a nearby community.
Vickery Meadow, a densely populated neighborhood that flanks Lake Highlands, has one of Dallas’ highest crime rates, but over the last several years, active members of the community have worked hard to turn things around and to create a safer environment for the families, many of them immigrants and refugees, who live there. (See our story about that here.)
To further their efforts, the Vickery Meadow Improvement District and the Dallas Police will host the Partners in Crime Prevention Golf tournament Thursday April 11 at Top Golf. The tourney will raise funds for a surveillance camera program in the neighborhood.
