The Wildcats open their 2013 baseball season today with a scrimmage against South Garland High. The varsity plays at 4:30 p.m. at the Cat, as the baseball fields are called, and they face Frisco Saturday, February 9 at 11 a.m. They’re home again next Monday against Hillcrest at 5 p.m.
Again this year, the baseball program is popular enough to draw three teams of talented players. Two junior varsity squads – the black and the red – will compete.
Pre-season games begin Feb. 19, as the Cats take on Plano away and enter the Denton tournament later that weekend. The first district home game is against Berkner March 5 at 7 p.m., and the Cats host the Elks Lodge Tournament March 7-9.
See the Wildcat Club website for more details including rosters and schedules.
