It appears an East Dallas man, Paris Luh, was injured in the same fight and treated at the scene, according to a different police report.

Hargrove  lived in Lake Highlands more than 40 years, played high school football and loved the LH Wildcats, according to an obit in the Waco paper. He also was owner of Orr-Reed Wrecking Company, according to the Dallas Morning News‘ report.

He leaves behind daughter Hannah (LHHS class of ’07) and her fiancé Darren Roberts, Sarah (18) and Sam (13), and their mother, Michelle.

Jim Schutze over at the Observer fondly recalls shopping at Hargrove’s place.

A memorial service will be held tomorrow, Jan. 30 at 4 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Vogel Alcove in John’s memory: 7557 Rambler Road #262, Dallas, TX 75231.
