Lake Highlands will be filled with the sound of music this week as the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band practices at our Wildcat-Ram Stadium for their Cotton Bowl
performance. The big game is Friday, January 4 at 7pm.
The Texas A&M musicians will first arrive this morning, but their 9-11am rehearsals Wednesday and Thursday are strictly closed to the public. You are welcome to watch, though, Thursday from 1-3pm and Friday from 9-10:30am.
If you’re more of an OU fan, the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band will rehearse at Richardson High’s Eagle Mustang Stadium. That schedule is: Wednesday, 3:30-6pm, Thursday 10-1, and Friday 1-3pm.
I’ll stay out of the fight and wish both teams good luck. This week, in our neighborhood, I think music lovers are the winners.
