You wouldn’t know it from looking at her brilliant little face, but six-year-old Laura Beth Rote is battling a serious illness, Leukemia, and she and her family are preparing for two years of treatment.
Medical professionals anticipate that the Highlander student—whose father Brian Rote is a teacher and coach at Forest Meadow Junior High—will, at some point, need blood, so friends have organized a blood drive for Laura Beth, Dec. 15 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus on Shoreview.
If possible, donors should reserve a time slot, here, to minimize wait times and allow Carter Blood Care to properly staff the event.
Of course, walk-ins are welcome too.
