The Lake Highlands High School marching band over the weekend took some impressive honors at the DeSoto Classic.

In the preliminary round of competition the band won the size-class awards for Best Percussion, Best Winds, Best Marching and Best Guard; the band also won Best in Class, and placed 3rd among all bands in the preliminary round. Though they were  the smallest band out of the ten finalists, they finished in 4th place.
