I guess you gotta hand it to ‘em. This year’s senior class is creative. Some might even say they have no shame. They’re willing to do whatever it takes to raise the money they need to put on a great prom and a fun all-night-party.

The senior class officers of 2013 put together this clever film, ala Sarah McLachlan’s animal cruelty video, to tug at your heartstrings. And they’ve got the pitiful look down, stone-cold.

If your kids are still little guys, you may not know about the tradition of keeping LHHS seniors safe and together after graduation with an all-night party, sponsored by the senior class. Every kid is invited – not just the in crowd, not just the athletes, not just the ones who can afford it – everyone. And all seniors stay at the bowling-alley-style Main Event all night. No drinking, lots of supervision. Honestly, it’s pretty tame anyway. It’s amazing how a bunch of high school seniors become a bunch of kindergartners as they realize it’s their last few weeks together.

If you’d like to help, you can speak to one of the senior class officers: Andy Faris-President, Blake Lueder-Treasurer, Michael Bonahoom-Vice President, Ruthie Rutledge-Historian, and Chris Wilder-Secretary. You can email Blake’s mom Lauri if you’d like to send a donation luederl@hpumc.org.
