“I’ve never been so happy to see Porta-Potties in my life.”

So says Advocate blogger Carol Toler in this month’s podcast, referring to the construction vehicles (and their necessary relief companions) on the site of the Lake Highlands Town Center. We’ve written about the five-story building — retail and restaurant space on the ground floor with apartments above — that will be the first to be constructed in the project. In today’s podcast, we discuss a big Town Center event this Sunday, as well as how the construction might change the order in which tenants are announced.

Speaking of, when will tenants be announced? When we asked Town Center developer Prescott Realty this question, we were told, “When they are finalized.” No kidding. So we figured Lake Highlands neighbors might have better information, or at least better guesses. With today’s podcast, we’re rolling out a new Advocate contest: You tell us when the first LHTC tenant will be announced, and if you guess correctly, you’ll win $100 to spend at that tenant when it opens, plus a bottle of wine to celebrate.

In other podcast discussion, we opine on the idea of turning Garland Road into Arboretum Drive (or, as someone has suggested, Carboretum Drive), and talk about the death and possible resurrection of one of LHHS’ institutions.
