Tracy Fancher lives in Los Angeles, writing songs and pursuing a career as a recording artist, but she’ll be in Dallas Friday night for the launch party of her new single, Blind Spot. She’s the opening act for Nashville duo Channing and Quinn, which will give all her Lake Highlands friends and fans a chance to catch up.
Tracy graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 2005, and many of us enjoyed seeing her perform in the choir and solo at Senior Show and Varsity Revue. She was also featured in ACT musicals at LHUMC over many years.
After studying at Emerson College in Boston, Tracy headed to the Musician’s Institute in LA. Macy Gray’s Grammy-winning producer, Darryl Swann, and Hollywood producer Seth Jeremy have been working with her on her latest music, and she has two more songs set to debut in the fall.
Friday’s show begins at 8pm at Opening Bell Coffee House at South Side on Lamar. Her songs are appropriate for all ages and admission is free. In addition to coffee, beer and wine will be available for purchase. Opening Bell Coffee is at 1409 S. Lamar.
