Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is showing at 11am each day this week through Friday at Studio Movie Grill near Royal and N. Central Expressway. Children get in for $1 and adults for $2. Families raising children with special needs can attend a private screening of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dog Days on Saturday, August 6 at 11 a.m. at $5 per ticket and free entry for special needs children and their siblings.
Saturday, the Lake Highlands High School Wildcat band will march and rehearse from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., developing the music and technique they’ll take to fall competition and bring to Friday night football fans. The day culminates with a 6:30 p.m. performance at Wildcat-Ram Stadium (also known around these parts as The Boneyard), and the community is invited.
Head to White Rock Lake Park for the Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up at the For the Love of the Lake office in Casa Linda Plaza on 1152 Buckner Boulevard. Continental breakfast will be provided between 8 and 9 a.m.
