More than a month after Kerrick Butler, 26, was shot to death — in front of his child, no less — at his apartment near Park Lane and Abrams, police are still looking for killers. This week, investigators released a video and asked for help identifying the men in it. They say the car and the men in it, could be linked to the crime.
Police describe the car as a late-model White Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Grand Marquis. It is missing the left front hubcap, has dark window tint and black door handles and a cracked front windshield.
Suspect A is a black male, approximately 25-30 years old, 5’8″, stocky build, wearing a red shirt and red ball cap.
Suspect B is a black male in his 30s, 6’00”, slim build, short hair, wearing a gray or white shirt and jeans.
Police ask that anyone with information about the car, suspects or this offense is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 214.671.3661. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 214.373.8477 or use the department’s iWatch smartphone app.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the suspects in this homicide.
