Dallas Arboretum Thursday night will unveil its new solar-powered trams and carts before the outdoor Good Question Band concert, a part of the Chihuly Nights series.
Green Mountain Energy Company and the Dallas Arboretum will fire up six solar-powered trams that some visitors will use to tour the 66 acres of arboretum gardens — we are guessing this will happen sometime before the sun sets.
According to an arboretum announcement, “The solar dedication is made possible by a $65,000 donation from the Green Mountain Energy™ Sun Club™, a voluntary program in which Green Mountain residential customers can make monthly contributions toward solar generation systems for non-profits.”
Chihuly Nights requires advance tickets. They run $9-$22 here.
