Event organizer Tate Gorman just let us know that the second annual Lake Highlands Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Lake Highlands Town Center. The inaugural event last year was a huge hit, and the organizers plan to make this year’s even better.
Already on the Oktoberfest Facebook page is instruction for parents to “get your babysitters lined up for the evening” because the “Kid Zone is shutting down around 6:30 p.m. for Oktoberfest AfterDark. You WILL want to be at the amphitheater with a beer/brat in hand between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. More to come …”
We’re excited to see who will be taking the amphitheater stage and other surprises they have in store. And if you really need another excuse to mark your calendar, don’t forget that Oktoberfest is a fundraiser for the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands, which recently awarded $118,000-plus to some very deserving LHHS students.
