ESPN Dallas reporter Travis Brown spoke at the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands meeting last week.
Brown covers local high school sports for ESPN Dallas. According to Brown, one of the greatest benefits of ESPN Dallas’ coverage of local high school sports is that it “gets our local kids out on a national level, so that the nation can see the amazing athletic talent we have in this area.”
ESPN Dallas also provides extensive coverage of local boys and girl’s high school basketball.
An audience member asked Brown if ESPN Dallas had plans to expand its coverage of other high school sports, and he said that while football and basketball would continue to be the biggest drivers of viewers to the site, he hoped in the future more space could be devoted to other sports. —from LHEC’s Robert Van Amburgh
