A committee today will consider a $13 million HUD grant to help boost the Lake Highlands Town Center.
The City’s Economic Development Committee today will meet regarding the “Community Development Block Grant Section 108 Guaranteed Loan Application for the Lake Highlands Town Center.”
Robert Wilonsky explains on the Observer’s City Hall blog.
The development committee is expected to ask the City Council to allow a public hearing in January to appeal for $13 Million in HUD Block grants to “jumpstart” the town center, reportedly, by funding a parking garage.
Last summer, a consultant stressed the need for a better parking situation.
