The American Foundation for the Blind is hosting an exhibit and cocktail reception featuring nationally-acclaimed artists who found their calling after losing their sight: Texas mixed media artist John Bramblitt, California photographer Pete Eckert and New Mexico sculptor Michael Naranjo. Naranjo became a sculptor after being blinded by a grenade while serving his country in Vietnam.

“Artists with a Vision” will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 6:30pm at Samuel Lynne Galleries, 1105 Dragon Street in the Dallas Design District, and the artists will be in attendance to discuss their work and share their strategies for dealing with unexpected twists and turns on the road of life. Tickets are $75 and can be reserved by emailing Abi Erickson here.
